OUR STORY

The Trunk journey began in 2018 with a passion to create something completely different. We were frustrated with our traditional designer brand metal and acetate sunglasses. They would always break or bend out of shape. The frames were heavy, and some styles were uncomfortable when worn for long periods.

We wanted to introduce something different. Something that encapsulated new and existing styles but in a fresh and exciting way. Our commitment was to deliver only the highest quality and most fashionable eyewear that was comfortable and didn’t cost a fortune.

Every pair of Trunk Frames are expertly carved, crafted and polished down into a designer shape that is completely unique. Manufactured from natural wood and bamboo materials guarantees that every pair is individual in grain, texture and colour.

OUR PHILOSOPHIES

  • PRODUCT DESIGN – Trunk Sunglasses are based on existing styles with a new natural twist. Expertly carved and crafted each pair is light weight and comfortable. The bridges are sanded smooth and polished, so the frames sit comfortably on your nose. While the hinges on the arms are double jointed and hyper extend as to not put excessive pressure on the side of your head.

  • EYE PROTECTION – Trunk Sunglasses are designed for one function. To protect the eyes against harsh UVA and UVB light. Each pair comes with European Standard CE UV400 (99% UVA and UVB) Polarised Lenses.

  • QUALITY MATERIALS – We only use the highest quality natural materials in our sunglass frames. All Trunk sunglasses are constructed from Bamboo and hardwoods such as Walnut, Zebrawood and Oak all perfect timbers for woodworking, durability, and comfort.

  • PASSION TO BE DIFFERENT – As explained in our statement above we have a passion to produce products made from natural materials at a cost that won’t break your bank. The materials used to manufacture Trunk sunglasses will differiant us from the competition.

  • CARE FOR THE PLANET – We are sustainable. Our frames are constructed using only FSC Certified Wood. Paired with our premium high quality TAC lenses constructed from cellulose they offer a great alternative to plastic and glass lenses. Trunk Eyewear is also proud to be a One Tree Planted Ambassador. For every pair of sunglasses purchased we will plant 5 trees in your choice of location around the world.

We want you to be completely happy with your purchase at Trunk Eyewear. If you have any concerns within three months of the date of your purchase, we will put it right.

All Trunk Eyewear products are supplied with a 12-month warranty (from date of purchase) on any manufacturing defects. We are also proud to offer a 14-day change of mind option. If you receive your pair of sunnies and are not happy with the style and appearance, we will exchange them for another pair.
